It is with great honor to announce NR Night in America driver Patrick Connell to drive the #46 Toyota and Chevrolet for MC Motorsports. Patrick Connell has driven in NR Night in America since June of 2023 doing various races, primarily on Superspeedways. Patrick Connell is also a personal friend of Cmejla's IRL, and even bought his sim-wheel from Cmejla.
After Patrick Connell had a career-worse night on November 17th, 2023, his head was down. Connell, during Round 2: Xfinity @ Daytona race, hit the outside wall and with this spun into Josh Kenyon, creating a wreck. Connell got L5'd (Race Kick) for creating the crash.
"No excuse, I have had my head up my butt all day. Can't tell you how sorry and embarrassing that is. That's so embarrassing," Connell, disappointed, after the crash. "I really wasn't that close to you on my screen. I was shocked when I looked at the stream, I was still too close, though. Cant tell you how embarrassing that is. I'm just a joke here now."
Connell, hoping to race in the DriveSmart California 500 E-Ticket event, will likely go undrafted for the third time in a row after the L5 penalty, and may not ever race in an E-Ticket event.
Connell knew he needed a career change. Before signing with MC Motorsports, Connell owned "Ray Connell Racing" - his own team with drivers amongst himself, Zander McKinney, John Connor, Wesley Kutznof, and Mason Ramirez. The team never got anything going, and Connell quietly shut it down.
It was when Cmejla signed Daniel Mosteller when Patrick Connell asked Cmejla if he could join as well. MC Motorsports obviously has a strict policy when it comes to team mates. You can only drive Chevrolets, you must run the team number font (My Puma) and team sponsors. Connell drove Toyotas primarily. Cmejla said no because of this. But after deeper consideration, if he followed the other rules, Cmejla would let him drive a Toyota.
Connell agreed, and Cmejla gave him a contract to sign with MC Motorsports through the remainder of 2023. A contract is expected for the first quarter of 2024 once the current one expires. Connell would get right to making a scheme on the Next Gen Toyota Camry, and would get photos of him testing it at Atlanta Motor Speedway - Oval.

With this partnership, MC Motorsports has an additional sponsor: Weier Wealth Management. Weier Wealth Management is owned by financial professional, Jason Weier.
"My mission is to get to know and understand your needs, wants, and long-term goals. I want to help you develop, implement, and monitor a strategy that’s designed to address your individual situation. I understand the challenges families face today. From managing debt to saving for college to retirement, these personal finance challenges can be overwhelming. My commitment is to utilize all resources to help you pursue your goals. I believe in thinking “out of the box” and am not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom in my approach to investing and preserving wealth. All of my energy, commitment, and efforts are focused on you, the client, and your satisfaction."
"I am extremely excited to add a new sponsor to MC Motorsports thanks to Patrick Connell joining the team. I am looking forward to running Weier cars on the track with Patrick Connell once in awhile," Cmejla said on the new partnership.
Patrick Connell has driven the #46 for his entire NR Night in America career, and it will remain this way with MC Motorsports. Patrick Connell has raced in NR Night in America since June. This signing is only for NR Night in America, and will not include ASPHALT MEDIA.
