Mosteller gets 3rd at Monza, 10th at Homestead
November 22nd, 2023 | 7:07 PM CT

Daniel Mosteller would get the opportunity to drive for MC Motorsports on the night of Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 for NR Night in America. Mosteller would originally be signed to drive the #87 MC Motorsports / storemcm.com Chevrolet at Autodromo Nazionale Monza - Grand Prix. It was right before the Bonus Round of Round 5 that Dmos would get another contract from Cmejla to drive the same scheme with the Xfinity Chevrolet. You can read more about these situations in the hyperlinked articles in this paragraph.

Mosteller would qualify 4th for the race at Monza. The biggest threat to Mosteller and the field was Parker White. Parker White is an eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series driver and has one of the highest Road iRating numbers at 10,000.

The green flag waved for 25 laps of Monza. Marty Cmejla, who qualified 13th, made a darring move to the inside entering Turn 1. He clipped the grass and slammed the brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of him. He slammed in the inside wall. Behind, was Parker White. Parker White had no where to go and slammed Cmejla. White would be out just like that.

Cmejla's race ultimately ended 3 laps in after he self-crashed and focused on watching Mosteller try to give MC Motorsports our first NR Night in America win. Dmos would run in the Top 3 for the entire race, trying to get by competitors Aaron Smith II and Joseph Armstrong.

The next thing to watch for was green flag pit stops. On the lap Dmos would pit, they had to get by the crabwalking #22 Ford of Mason Moriarty. They got by without any issues. Dmos would then pit, and there came Moriarty at full speed entering the pits, and straight up rammed Dmos from the rear.

Dmos would suffer major damage to the rear end, which would lead to him becoming very slow on the straightaways. Dmos was able to stay in 4th after the restart, but another caution came out. On this restart, Dmos got up to 2nd, with now only 4 to go. Then Smith II would pass him and he would be 3rd. Dmos would stay in 3rd and give MC Motorsports a podium finish.

"It was so disappointing to see that happen to Dmos. I think he would have easily won if Moriarty didn't run into him. Of course something that has never happened before has to happen to the MC Motorsports driver," Marty Cmejla said. He is used to this kind of heartbreak in NR Night in America races.

It seemed like Dmos' tenure with MC Motorsports was over. But then, voting for Round 5 started. Xfinity Homestead was one of the options. It won the vote, and Mosteller came into Cmejla's DMs and asked if he wanted to back it up.

Cmejla was extremely excited that there was a second opportunity. Mosteller would qualify 7th. Mosteller would lead 16 laps, more than anyone. But, on the last green flag run, Parker White (The Coke Driver) was closing. Dmos then hit the Turn 1-2 wall, falling back to 10th. Mosteller would stay 10th and would finish there.

"We are thankful to Dmos for racing with MC Motorsports," Cmejla said.

Despite not getting the goal: To Win, it was still a great moment for MC Motorsports and helped with sponsorship. @MCM_iRacing on X gained 10 followers since the Dmos announcement, and storemcm.com got 1 site view. We hope Dmos can return for another race in the future!
