We are excited here at MC Motorsports to announce our 2026 iRacing Virtual racing plans! Obviously iRacing usage has definitely slowed down in the community, with Robbie Devore leaving ASPHALT MEDIA and Jonathan Ramos rarely doing NR Night in America, as both of these series owners have continued to pursue their real-life commentary careers.
With this, for the few races that we will run on iRacing in 2026, we have simplified the team on the virtual side. We regret to inform 2 driver releases, officially. We are more focused on our real-life racing program. We are adding a car to our fleet in the Fox River Racing Club Sizzlin' 4s series, and we expect to be championship contenders. With this, MC Motorsports will focus more on the real-life program, and will enjoy racing virtually every-so-often.
Patrick Connell has been released from the team once again. Patrick Connell has stepped away from iRacing entirely, but says he possibly may return once the new RAM truck gets added to iRacing.
Cameron Face has also been released from MC Motorsports. This was not an easy decision and it's nothing Cameron did wrong. "Cameron was the best hire I've ever made," says Marty Cmejla. The racing has just slowed down so much that there is no opportunities for Cameron to ever race. So with these efforts to simplify the team, the release of Cameron Face is needed. No hard feelings!
Cameron Face delivered a total of 7 Rebel Valley Sim Club wins to MC Motorsports, and is declared the best driver to drive for MC Motorsports behind Marty Cmejla himself. Cameron Face may be brought back if hosted iRacing races return in a higher capacity.
With this, the team now consists of Brad Cmejla, Marty Cmejla, and Cole Trudeau. Cole Trudeau will remain in the #84 on the virtual side, corresponding to his real-life number, but there are 2 very notable changes.
Since the #84 car in-real-life is our main entry, we want to center our program around that. With this, Marty Cmejla will switch from the famed #88 to the #8, making up the "8" in the 84, and Brad Cmejla will switch from the #83 to the #4, making up the "4" in the 84. With this our full-time number lineup is now #4, #8, and #84.
If hypothetically Cameron Face returns in the future, or we add part-time rides if hosting increases, the number choices would be #48, #04, or #08.
We are eager to see what the virtual racing season holds in its limited capacity!
