What started as a post reacting to the photo finish that happened during the 2024 Ambetter Health 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, February 25th, led to a crazy series of events for X user @IcyVert. @IcyVert runs a sports page on Twitter, primarily for the NFL (his favorite team is the Philadelphia Eagles) that hasm, as of this article, around 25,000 followers.

IcyVert posted a photo of of the "Tongue Tie" from the movie series Cars where Lightning McQueen stuck out his tongue to make it a 3-way tie. IcyVert said "I got chills tbh" in his post and it generated 8 million views.

IcyVert realized the potential a NASCAR X page had and he followed through, gaining support from actual NASCAR drivers and even the race tracks, and even the PRESIDENT of NASCAR, who was talking with Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar, invited IcyVert to a race of his choice.

The great spotlight IcyVert has put on the sport is truly great. But, some NASCAR Twitter users didn't understand why IcyVert was getting all the praise.

MC Motorsports owner Marty Cmejla left his thoughts: "During the NFL season I saw IcyVert's posts come up on my feed. Always funny stuff and was one of my favorite NFL Twitter creators. To see him post NASCAR was great, but for him to keep on and hopefully long-term on NASCAR posting is great for the sport. He may not have a million followers, but he still has a following-base that consists primarily of other sports, that can now get more knowledge on NASCAR while results the growth of the sport."

So, Cmejla took the opportunity to do something great. "I noticed IcyVert hadn't really posted anything in regards to the iRacing (Virtual NASCAR) community. So, I made a quick paint scheme and mentioned IcyVert on Twitter, hoping he would see it."

The next day, he definitely saw it. IcyVert reposted the tweet saying "oh yeah this is the greatest iRacing car maybe ever", generating thousands of views for his first dive into the iRacing community.

With this, IcyVert will be added to our prominent list of partners. You will see us run IcyVert paint schemes every so often for various drivers. MC Motorsports at this point collectively has 18 wins across ASPHALT MEDIA and NR Night in America iRacing series. MC Motorsports is the best place @IcyVert could have landed when it comes down to iRacing teams to cheer for. With the passion to be up front amongst our drivers and our strive to get wins, this will be a great opportunity for IcyVert to get his brand on an iRacing NASCAR car.
