It is incredibly exciting to announce that MC Motorsports will be expanding from the virtual race track to the real life racing scene! Owners of Marty-Cole Motorsports Marty Cmejla and Cole Trudeau, purchased a 4-cyl race car. They will race this car on Thursday nights at Wisconsin International Raceway, splitting the schedule in half amongst each other. The series we will run in is the Sizzlin V4's Series, under the Fox River Racing Club. The boys decided as fan-favorite #84 on the virtual side to be our number in real life! The number mixes Marty's #88 favorite with Cole's #47 favorite.

"It's always been our dream to race at Wisconsin International Raceway," the duo exclaimed. Wisconsin International Raceway, located in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, is a multi-purpose racing complex with a 1/2-mile oval, 1/4-mile oval (where we will race) and a drag strip. The 1/2-mile oval is known for its unique shape compared to most oval race tracks in America.

How did we find the car? Cole Trudeau was putting the time and effort into finding a car on Facebook Marketplace. Finally he found one for a strikingly good deal that was race ready. The boys went over to the owner's house, with our Chief Mechanic Mason Hoelzel. They met the car owner and he explained all the features and factors of the car. There were a few things that needed some fixing, and some extra additions that we as a team would like to make.

After some negotiating, the car was purchased. They towed the car on a dolly to where it would stay. Some testing was done, but it turns out the car didn't have an alternator belt on, so it wouldn't run as this is a key component of the car. The next day Cole, Marty, and Patrick Connell took a look at the car and attempted to fix it. They were initially unsuccessful and left it up to the Chief Mechanic to get it fixed. The car now runs great!

There are still a few tweaks that need to be made to the car. Over the recent weekend Cole and Mason moved the seat up a few inches to accomodate for Cole's height. Marty Cmejla also went down the the FRRC Meeting and purchased pit passes and a membership. MC Motorsports now has access to the track and racing!

There is still a lot of work to be done by opening night (May 22nd), and a lot of sponsors that need to be acquired. Our largest concern with racing in real life is our lack of resources. We only have one car, and one engine that we can afford. If anything happens to the car on track or if the engine blows unexpectedly, our real-life program could see a quick end. Our goal is to keep it clean and have a good car and engine by the end of the 15-race season!

We thank all of our virtual sponsors and supporters since we opened MC Motorsports in July of 2022. We will continue to operate virtually weekly, but just expect it so slow down a bit in the summer to accomodate for real racing. We are very excited for what the future has in store!
